International Day of Prayer for the Persecuted Church

It's so easy to live in a spiritual bubble while living in America. Persecution for my faith often consist of someone stereotyping me as “religious” or “ignorant.” But there are places around the world where being a Christian means so much more. It means it could cost you your life. Scripture affirms that the Christian life is a call to glory through suffering. Accordingly, on a daily basis Christians around the world face persecution in various forms, including discrimination, physical assaults, violence and even death. This Sunday, we are observing the International Day of Prayer for the Persecuted Church. Pastor Eso from the Karen Baptist Church will be helping facilitate communion for us. It will be a melding of our culture and their culture while worshipping the same Savior. Come and join us in prayer and communion as we advocate for and join in those suffering around the world for Jesus. For more information, visit
